The keyholder is very versatile as it serves as a mail holder as well. I removed the brass key holders before painting and gave them a coat of Rustoleum’s oil rubbed bronze. I had painted it a while back to see if paint would make it look less dated and I didn’t think it helped much, but I ‘m liking it on this little makeover. I was going to paint the word “keys’ or “mail” or “mallard” (not really) on the front, but I was feeling a bit lazy and found this old handle in my hardware stash instead. So much better…unless of course you are a huge mallard fan, then I’m truly sorry I ruined this.
